Every two years, the classic sports car sees the light of day for some maintenance checks but never gets cleaned per the owner's request.

Troy from the Addicted Motors YouTube channel is showcasing one of his client's cars in his latest video, which is a 1979 Porsche 930 Turbo. He tells us the car has been in storage at the shop for over ten years. Every two years the owner asks if they can just take out the car, do some quick maintenance like oil changes and a quick look-over and make sure it's mechanically sound.

The car's owner currently lives in Argentina and as Troy tells us the car is in storage at his shop, instead of Argentina because the owner worries about the seizure of the car by his government. Troy also tells us that, per the request of the owner, not to clean the car. An interesting request indeed, but with no follow-up, we're left to speculate the reasons why. Although during the discussion, Troy does name-drop and says this would be a great project for Larry Kosilla from the YouTube channel AMMO NYC to clean up, such as he did on a 1984 Lamborghini Countach.

At the 2:10 mark in the video, we get a peek inside the Porsche. The overload of tan/brown exterior paint and brown on brown interior is incredibly reminiscent of the 1970s. Although the interior has a thick layer of dust, it still looks in incredibly good shape. Troy says this is because the windows are normally open on the car to allow air to flow through. While doing the interior tour, we also notice the manual shifter which shows only four speeds. This is because the five-speed only came out in 1989. This engine on the 930 is a 3.3-liter turbocharged and air-cooled flat-six.

With such a “clean (but dirty) car,” this is what every Porsche collector would want. The car shows no signs of rust. Since it is air-cooled, this means there is no coolant that would deteriorate the block and other components over time. The car's only flaw is that it is dirty. The car is for sale but offers are starting in the low $100,000 area according to Troy. Is this a fair price for this? You be the judge.
