This is stated in the latest report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published on Facebook.
As of 18:00, July 20, no significant changes in the enemy's activity were observed in Volyn, Polissya, and Siversky directions. The enemy fired tube and rocket artillery on the areas of Mykolaivka, Volfyne, Pavlivka, and Ulanove localities of Sumy region.
In Kharkiv direction, shelling was recorded, in particular, near Staryi Saltiv, Petrivka, Ruski Tyshky, Pechenihy, Tsyrkuny, Pytomnyk, Dementiyivka, and Korobochkyne. The enemy launched airstrikes near Mospanove and Rtyshchivka. The invaders unsuccessfully tried to advance towards the village of Pytomnyk.
In Slovyansk direction, the enemy opened fire from tanks, tube and rocket artillery on the areas of Dolyna, Bohorodychne, Kostiantynivka, Husarivka, Velyka Komyshuvakha, Pokrovske and other localities. Ukrainian soldiers again successfully repelled enemy assaults in Bohorodychne area.
In Kramatorsk direction, the enemy shelled Kramatorsk, Serebrianka, Verkhniokamyanske, and Ivano-Daryivka areas with artillery, launched missile and air strikes near Kramatorsk and Slovyansk.
While launching assaults in the areas of Hryhorivka and Spirne, the enemy suffered losses and retreated.
In Bakhmut direction, the enemy tries to create favorable conditions for establishing control over the town of Bakhmut and the territory of the Vuhlehirska TPP through combat operations. The Russians fired on the areas of the localities of Berestove, Vesele, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Vesela Dolyna, Kodema, Mayorsk, New York and others, launched airstrikes on Pokrovske. The Russians carry out assault operations in the area of Berestove and on the approaches to the Vuhlehirska TPP, fighting continues.
In Avdiivka, Novopavlivsk, and Zaporizhzhia directions, the enemy continues firing on civilian and military infrastructure in the areas of localities of Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Volodymyrivka, Pavlivka, Prechystivka, Velyka Novosilka, Zelene Pole, Novoukrainka, Olhivske, Malynivka, Huliaypole, Preobrazhenka, Zaliznychne, Kamyanske. Airstrikes were recorded near Avdiivka, Kamyanske, and Novoandriivka.
The invaders again failed another combat reconnaissance in the area of Novoselivka Druha, suffered losses and retreated. The enemy units advancing towards Mykylske and Novomykhailivka did the same.
In the Southern Buh direction, the enemy concentrates its main efforts on preventing the advance of Ukrainian troops deep into the temporarily occupied territory. The Russians systematically shelled the civilian and military infrastructure in the areas of Osokorivka, Olhyne, Ivanivka, Velyke Artakove, Lozove, Shyroke, Kvitneve, Liubomirivka, Bereznehuvate, Kotliareve, Stepova Dolyna, Nova Zoria, Lupareve, and others. The invaders launched missile and air strikes near Murakhivka and Novohryhorivka.
"Ukrainian defenders inflict losses on the enemy in all directions where active hostilities are ongoing. Our artillery is successfully continuing its combat work," the General Staff assures.
As reported, the defenders of Ukraine eliminated about 38,750 Russian invaders from February 24 to July 20.
