Explore the Shattered Realm and collect Parallax Trajectory to earn Bright Dust and XP.

Destiny 2's Season of the Lost is finally here. With new gear to chase and seasonal activity to complete, Guardians will have plenty of things to keep them busy for the coming weeks. Even if you aren't interested in chasing new weapons or farming the new Astral Alignment activity, there is a reason to play this season.

One incentive is Seasonal Challenges, a series of unique Triumph challenges that grant rewards when completed. Seasonal Challenges grant a large amount of XP, Bright Dust, and season-specific rewards, making them worthwhile for all players. Here is every week one Seasonal Challenge tied to Destiny 2's Season of the Lost.

Seasonal Challenges are weekly Triumphs that, when completed, grant a large amount of XP, Bright Dust, and additional rewards. A new set of challenges are released each week for the first ten weeks of a given season. These challenges range from defeating enemies with specific weapons to completing a Grandmaster Nightfall.

Completing all challenges is more than enough to reach level 100 in the Season Pass and obtain up to 10,000 Bright Dust. Should you complete 75 challenges in a given season, you'll be able to claim a Large Bundle Bright Dust Pile that's worth 4,000 Bright Dust.

Wayfinder's Voyage I: Use the Wayfinder's Compass to complete Wayfinder's Voyage I. Also, defeat Taken anywhere in the system. Powerful Taken in the Shattered Realm award more progress.

When you load into Destiny 2 for the first time this season, you'll be thrown into a story mission showcasing the premise of Season of the Lost's main narrative. Finish the mission to receive the Wayfinder's Voyage quest. It'll ask you to complete the Astral Alignment seasonal activity and upgrade the Wayfinder's Compass. The quest steps are rather straightforward.

Once you've finished the quest, you'll need to defeat 75 Taken anywhere in the system. Shattered Realm, this season's weekly missions, have Powerful Taken that are worth more. However, there are so many enemies in Astral Alignment that it's quite easy to get the second objective done in a single run of that activity.

Umbral Wayfinder I: Use Parallax Trajectory to focus Umbral Engrams at the Prismatic Recaster in the H.E.L.M. Open Wayinder's Troves in the Astral Alignment activity.

If you've played previous seasons, you'll know what to expect. You'll need to focus three Umbral Engrams and open three Wayfinder's Troves for this challenge. It costs 150 Parallax Trajectory to focus an Umbral Engram or open a Wayfinder's Chest. You can obtain Parallax Trajectory by completing non-seasonal activities—Vanguard Strikes, Crucible, Gambit, public events, etc.

Ascendant Ballast I: Gather Ascendant Anchors from patrol destinations and the Shattered Realm

You'll need to gather Ascendant Anchors for this challenge. These anchors are floating Awoken Orbs that emit a pillar of purple light (shown above). For this challenge, you need to collect 20 Anchors in patrol and 10 in the Shattered Realm. Each Anchor grants 30 Parralax Trajectory. You can find the patrol Anchors across the EDZ. Keep an eye out for purple beams of light.

For the Shattered Realm Anchor locations, consult our Forest of Echoes Mysteries and Ascendant Anchors guide.

Ley Line Rumors: Align beacons and discover Trivial Mysteries in the Shattered Realm.

Ley Line Rumors requires that you activate six beacons and find three Trivial Mysteries. You'll need to activate three beacons to finish the Shattered Realm mission, so that objective will passively complete itself after two runs. As for Trivial Mysteries, the challenge is referring to hidden Dreaming City chests. Complete the mission once to unlock the ability to interact with certain beacons that allow you to breach through walls. Run through a wall guarded by Awoken energy, then look around for a chest. Read our Forest of Echoes guide for a more detailed walkthrough.

Momentum Crash: Defeat Guardians in Momentum Control. Earn bonus progress with Zone Advantage.

As of writing, Momentum Control is currently active. This mode enhances the lethality of weapons while restricting the use of abilities. You'll need 75 kills in Momentum Control for this challenge, which is a fairly easy task considering how short the TTK is in this mode. Use Trace Rifles and Scout Rifles for easy kills.

Dredgin' Up Victory: Complete Gambit matches. Earn bonus progress for wins.

Complete 15 Gambit matches to finish the Seasonal Challenge. Wins count as three games played.

Gambit itself can be somewhat frustrating if you aren't playing with a pre-made team. In general, you'll want to focus on either:

The latter is recommended if you're good at PvP or have a good Invading Exotic—Leviathan's Breath, Truth, and Xenophage are a few good ones. For the former, consider using Warmind Cell mods or builds that allow you to spam abilities. The faster your team clears out adds, the faster you can summon your Primeval.

Challenger's Aspiration: Complete weekly playlist challenges.

For this challenge, you'll need to complete three playlist weeklies. These require you to complete three matches in a given playlist—Vanguard Strikes, Crucible, and Gambit. Play three games of each to finish this challenge. Since these give Pinnacle Gear, it's a good idea to do this anyway for the first few weeks to reach this season's Pinnacle cap.

EDZ Patrol: In the EDZ, earn progress by completing bounties, patrols, public events, and Lost Sectors.

Virtually any activity completed on the EDZ will count for this challenge. The fastest way to finish EDZ Patrol is to clear out Lost Sectors. Most of the EDZ's Lost Sectors are quite short and don't have many enemies. Some good options include:

This Seasonal Challenge should only take a few minutes to complete. Keep an eye out for Ascendant Anchors in the world while you're doing this.

Mid-Range Calibration: Calibrate mid-range weapons—Hand Cannons, Auto Rifles, Fusion Rifles, and Machine Guns—in the EDZ. Bonus progress for rapidly defeating combatants.

Mid-Range Calibration requires 200 final blows with Hand Cannons, Auto Rifles, Fusion Rifles, and/or Machine Guns. Since Hand Cannons just got buffed, now is a great time to try them out. Equip your favorite Hand Cannon and pop some heads.

Since this challenge is tied to the EDZ, you'll want to farm the Lake of Shadows strike. It has a solid amount of enemies to kill and can easily be cleared in a few minutes. If you'd rather farm Lost Sectors, Excavation Site XII is rather short and has a few enemies.

Scorn Pest Control: Defeat Scorn combatants in strikes. Earn bonus progress for defeating tougher combatants.

You'll need to defeat 200 Scorn for this challenge. Fortunately, the Hollowed Lair is the first Nightfall strike in Season 15. Double Nightfall loot is also active as of writing this, so now is the perfect time to get this challenge finished. If you're playing on a higher Nightfall difficulty, consider bringing crowd control subclasses to keep the Scorn at bay.
